HSE Field Lead

The Position Petro Harvester is actively seeking a talented HSE professional to advise and support an aggressive growth strategy of exploration and development in our Northern Business Unit. The individual selected will have a strong track record of HSE program delivery and impact, effectively influencing and mentoring operational leaders, employees and contractors in creating a healthy culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities for this role include: • Implement HSE Management System practices and programs • Facilitate and maintain OSHA required training programs and safety meetings • Source, develop and present HSE material at regularly scheduled safety meetings • Oversee contractor compliance programs and relationships • Conduct HSE orientation programs for employees and contractors • Conduct field inspections, audits, surveys and reviews for compliance with OSHA, EPA and related State regulatory requirements and Petro Harvester practices and policies • Facilitate HSE incident investigations and root cause analyses • Ensure entry of incidents into Petro Harvester’s incident management systems • Support field environmental compliance programs and remediation projects • Manage contractors performing remediation work • Manage HSE documentation programs for District operations • Travel and work in the field regularly within operating area of North Dakota; will travel approximately 50% of the time • Subject to callouts, emergencies and incident investigations • Rotating schedule is not available at this time • Other duties as may be required by programs and/or regulatory changes Qualifications, Required and Preferred • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, engineering or a related field is preferred • 10+ years of experience in health, safety or environmental or multi-media areas, or HSE management • Application of practice in oil and gas upstream and midstream segments • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT Pipeline and related State regulations in North Dakota • Experience with North Dakota Industrial Commission and Department of Health regulatory compliance • Demonstrated ability to manage environmental remediation projects preferred • Professional certification in safety, environmental or industrial hygiene preferred • Strong Microsoft Office software skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and clients and respond quickly • Valid driver’s license • Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at moderate heights, out of doors and in all weather conditions
