The Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, managing and direction of assigned personnel, equipment and resources to provide services with the highest standard of safety, quality and professionalism in our Service Tools and Equipment Rental divisions.   This role is also responsible for overseeing our consulting division, Yankee Consultants.  This position will require constant contact with clients to ensure requests are fulfilled in a safe and timely manner. This job entails securing new business, managing customers, and ensuring superior service quality that meets or exceeds expectations.  Additionally this person will be responsible for the development and training of personnel and ensuring that all resources are efficiently used to optimize the return on investment and profitability.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversight for the care assigned company assets (Equipment, transportation and trade specific).
  • Manages the operation including staffing, training, production, quality control, safety and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Perform well site audits regularly and ensure that a high level of service quality and safety requirements are being met.
  • Develop personnel to ensure operations are being performed and covered at a high level.
  • Control costs pertaining to travel, equipment, compensation and entertainment.
  • Maintain a high commitment to safety and service quality both internally and externally.
  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Communicate well with peers, employees, other divisions within MBI, and customers.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Promote MBI within the community.
  • Understand cost efficiency and productivity forecasting, review financial statements, submit forecasted budgets, and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability.
  • Understand requirements to keep associated equipment tested and certified.
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Be able to operate a company vehicle and have a valid driver's license.

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.

Education

College degree preferred or a minimum of 6 years oil field operations supervisor or coordinator experience.

 

Licenses and Certifications

Valid driver's license required.
