Job Title: Lease Records Analyst III
This is the third level Lease Records Analyst position. The employee in this position is well versed in the clerical duties and the analytical duties of the analyst I and analyst II positions. The essential duties are at an analytical level and performed with a varying degree of supervision along with a supporting role in assisting others with more advanced analytical duties. Some duties at this level may be common with those of the analyst II position, but are performed independently at a high degree of expertise and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following plus various other duties that from time to time may be assigned:
Generate, track and process rental and special obligation payment recommendation approval reports
Set up Prospect number, ownership and other pertinent information in the data base
Associate leasehold with producing properties
Maintain well status for spud notices
Work with accounting to address cost, billing and other issues
Process LPRs for lease data input and payment
Establish lease number and input lease data in the data base
Process invoices for lease acquisition cost
Ensure proper accounting coding for all payments
Ensure checks, wire transfers and EFTs are processed and mailed in a timely manner
Update SSI to ensure current and accurate lease data
Utilize database for reporting and queries
Process annual pooling unclaimed property reporting
Establish desk notes for analytical tasks
Assist Senior Division Order Analyst with special projects and training
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have a sound working understanding of land and oil & gas matters including the basic recognition and associated purpose of contracts agreements, documents and correspondence. General computer expertise is required with substantial word processing and spreadsheet experience. Must be attentive to detail with good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, responsible, and professional and can perform independently. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate and two (2) years experience as a lease records analyst or three (3) years related experience.
