Job Title: IT Tech Support Analyst

SUMMARY

The Computer Technical Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining all computers that are connected to the corporate network systems via LAN, WAN, or remotely. The position investigates and resolves any computer software and hardware problems of the end users. He/she supports user base via the support hot line.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for setting up and installing new computers locally and remotely
  • Troubleshoot all hardware problems pertaining to computers, printers, modems, cable, telephones, copiers, fax machines, cell phones and pagers
  • First line of support for the support hot line - assist Help Desk Support Tech
  • Responsible for the wiring and setup of new offices at their change of offices throughout the corporate network, including but not limited to all remote sites
  • Responsible for performing nightly backups on all corporate servers
  • Responsible for phone programming, setup, moves or changes
  • May test new software and hardware for network upgrades – evaluates the ease of use in the corporate setup
  • May train users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom, or recommend outside contractors to provide training
  • Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
  • Stay current with technology by obtaining training on current hardware and software, obtaining certificates when necessary
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably with Management of Information Systems major or a minimum two years comparable experience is required.
