Marathon has significant assets in the Rocky Mountain operations area in Wyoming. Production is from four superintendent areas encompassing a total of 10 different field areas, over 2000 wells and a number of production facilities.

The successful candidate will interface with Marathon employees, contractor employees, and vendors to optimize SCADA activities. The I&E Technician position will be located in the Cody, Wyoming office. This position is responsible primarily for commissioning of new SCADA/Wonderware installations, as well as maintenance and operation of the existing SCADA system (Remote HMI, Communications, and Facility Controls). The I&E Technician will work closely with local operations, other I&E technicians and electricians, and Facilities Specialists and engineers in the RMO operations. The position reports to the Wyoming Asset Team Maintenance and Construction Manager.

• HMI software (WonderWare) development, including reporting, trending, alarm configuration, etc.
• Configuration of OPC servers, like Autosol and TopServer, for the gathering of data from field facility controls.
• Commissioning of remote HMI and facility control logic as new facilities are constructed.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of the Remote HMI system (WonderWare), both software and hardware. Work with IT Services to resolve any issues.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of the communications system. Work with IT Services and P&CD to resolve any issues.
• Support peripheral software, like TOW, LOWIS, etc.
• Provide technical support to operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed
• Provide leadership and mentoring to field I&E technicians and electricians on proper controls programming and communications configurations.
• Programming facility controls, using best practices and develop the necessary documentation, like Cause & Effect Charts.
• Configuration of radio communications.
• Cross train on the duties of the other RMO SCADA Specialist and backfill for them when they are not available

High school degree or equivalent required.

3-5 years experience with similar job responsibilities.

Oil & Gas Industry experience is preferred.

Experience with programming PLCs, Ladder Logic and FRST program languages and Flow Computers is required. Emerson/Fisher ROC 800 series, FloBoss 107, FloBoss 103, FloBoss 503 and ABB Totalflow PLC’s and EFM’s is preferred.

Experience with programming HMI systems is required. Experience with Wonderware InTouch / ArchestrA is preferred.

Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning for a wide range of instruments .

Experience with control systems industry standards.

Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix a plus.
