SUMMARY
 
The Drilling Technician provides administrative and technical support to Drilling Manager and Drilling Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain department databases, construct spread sheets and develop graphs and charts as directed
• Research, compile and assemble data and assist engineers in the preparation of various reports
• Monitor and maintain drilling, completion and workover reports for distribution to other departments and to partners
• Set up and track AFE’s
• Check accuracy of data and communicate corrections to all parties
• Organize and maintain drilling well files and other related information
• Other duties may be assigned

 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent is required, degree in math or science preferred.  Employee must be computer literate with experience using Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
