Role Synopsis
 
Baker Oil Tools division, of Baker Hughes, located in Williston, ND is current seeking a cased-hole completions services supervisor to work on a full-time basis, on a 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off or 5 weeks on / 1 week off schedule.  During your scheduled weeks, you will need to have 24/7 availability.  This position involves several processes in well completion by coordinating efforts to run any tool/application within the Baker Oil Tools product line.  The cased-hole services supervisor usually receives a call from a hub coordinator regarding a job request. The services supervisor will then report to the district warehouse and check the necessary equipment (tools that will be used) and confirm the job specifics with the coordinator.  The selected tools will be taken by the employee or sent on location to the rig site. Once on location, the Baker Hughes services supervisor will meet with the company representative over the well site and discuss the job specifics.  He/She will then report to the rig crew on location and instruct/supervise the successful completion of the required job.  This position will be working with other service company employees when using BOT equipment in the wellbore.  This position will work continuously for more than eight hours per day for any number of days on site, depending on the complexity of the job. The services supervisor may run multiple jobs in one day, while working in various sometimes harsh conditions.
 
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • runs multiple applications of medium to high risk in one or more product lines in the Cased Hole Completions Product Group 
  • jobs will include liners, R&S(Remedial & Stimulation), Frac Points, and other various other cased-hole completions
  • continues to expand and apply application knowledge and expertise to include applications of increasing complexity and/or risk in Cased Hole Completions and/or other product groups
  • ensures supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job and provides front-line support with customer and accurately completes all paperwork prior to or upon completion of job
  • uses experience and knowledge of applications to ensure products and services are of highest quality
  • may conduct on-the-job training for some Cased Hole Completions applications as required
  • handles special projects as assigned
  • conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
Basic Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • minimum of two years oilfield rig experience as a rig operator or driller required
  • math skills required
  • competent in running multiple medium to high risk applications in the Cased Hole Completions Product Group required
  • competent in running low to medium risk applications in other product groups.
  • thorough knowledge of drilling and completion techniques and drilling/work over rig operations required
  • thorough mechanical and application proficiency with Cased-Hole Completion products in at least one product line required
  • ability to work efficiently in teams required
  • ability to communicate effectively and in a courteous manner required
  • ability to perform duties in various outdoor weather conditions required
  • willingness to travel away from home for work
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
  •  previous experience running tools preferred
