An experienced engineer is required to participate in the operation of one of the largest natural gas gathering and processing areas in the Gulf Coast.
The successful candidate will be involved with facility planning,
optimization and project management around offshore oil and gas
gathering systems, a broad range of gas compression in plant services,
and gas processing plants containing natural gas liquid recovery, gas
treating systems, and dehydration.
Facility planning requires skills in collection and analysis of large
data sets and the ability to develop trends and forecast potential
opportunities. Working knowledge of tools for evaluating compressor and
pipeline hydraulic performance would be a plus.
The
offshore oil and gas gathering support will range from project
management, technical support, and compliance assurance activities to
support our offshore customers and the Williams junction platform.
Work seamlessly with the Operations, Maintenance and Commercial
organizations to safely operate, maintain, optimize and improve the
plant and offshore facilities. Work with Commodities and Operations to
review daily and weekly operating strategies. Coordinate
efforts to improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs. Provide
technical input to the planning and implementation of maintenance
projects. Facilitate troubleshooting efforts and coordinate the support
of other technical disciplines. Provide troubleshooting, analysis, and
engineering modeling support for facilities. Develop economic analysis
on process improvements.
Coordinate Operational input with Commercial and Engineering & Construction department on new projects. Demonstrated ability to quickly generate conceptual facility designs and preliminary cost estimates as well as screening economic analysis. Act as the liaison for Operations and Tech Services, enlisting the assistance of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) as required. Review critical equipment with Operations and seek ways to improve efficiency and/or reliability. Review material and energy balances around equipment and/or systems. Work to keep plant HYSYS models accurate and up to date with SME’s. Collect and analyze historical data to optimize systems and predict and prevent failures.
Provide engineering support during emergencies, upsets or operational difficulties. Resolve Action Items assigned from Incident Investigations, PHA’s, etc. Provide engineering representation during regulatory activities such as PHA’s, audits, LOPA, etc. Monitor and act on key operating parameters such as fluctuations in plant recovery factors, fuel usage, etc.
BSChem/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience a plus. Must possess strong communication skills, enjoy working with a team, and work independently.
