The successful applicant will be one of a team focused on the clients in North America Production Operation’s field offices. This particular position will be based in Dickinson and focus on the clients in NAPO's Bakken Asset Team. Some travel to the other locations associated with this asset team will be required in order to build relationships with the clients there, understand their business, analyze their IT-related problems and deliver solutions.

This individual has (or will develop) a detailed knowledge of NAPO’s business and strategy. They will coordinate projects within IT that add business value and/or increase client productivity. They will work with the other members of the Field Support Team to provide effective, efficient and consistent IT support and solutions to the NAPO organization.

Develop a strong knowledge of the clients' business and business processes and a general understanding of technology and trends in technology, particularly those supporting World Wide Production. Attend industry conferences to enhance knowledge of business and technology applications used in the industry and network with peers.
Use their knowledge of the client organizations they represent and of Information Technology to identify business opportunities and translate them into value added IT deliverables. In doing so, place an emphasis on standard solutions that can be leveraged across the Marathon enterprise.
Liaise with the Internal IT Team and act as a coordination point for work involving our IT partners, Compliance, Security and Enterprise Infrastructure Services groups.
Facilitate the setting of requirements and prioritization for system enhancements/projects.
Manage projects requiring the ability to operate in a multi-discipline team environment with business clients, software consultants and our IT partners.
Create written documentation including Requirements Lists, Decision Support Packages, Statements of Work and Client User Guides.
Stay current with technologies that may increase productivity in client base.
Understand and comply with all standards and directives relating to the implementation, maintenance and support of Information Technology solutions at Marathon.
